Hi-Tech Opioid Taskforce (HTOTF) at the FBI Washington Field Office
Nick Hutchings has over 15 years of experience with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). Mr. Hutchings supported the FBI’s counterterrorism mission for ten years, working on several high profile investigations such as the 2010 attempted bombing of Times Square and the 2013 Boston Marathon bombing.
In 2019, Mr. Hutchings joined the newly created Hi-Tech Opioid Taskforce (HTOTF) at the FBI’s Washington Field Office, which investigates Darknet marketplaces and vendors responsible for the distribution of controlled substances, including fentanyl, methamphetamine, and other narcotics. The HTOTF has disrupted dozens of vendors and seized millions of dollars in assets and several kilograms of narcotics as part of the US Government’s broader Joint Criminal Opioid and Darknet Enforcement (JCODE) effort.
